The end result is a modern and minimal, but still welcoming space with value which pays tribute to coffee and socialization.

Modest and fairly small coffe shop placed in a narrow space has the obvious problem of letting the natural light in, which is the main reason for choosing this bright colour scheme.
The palette of materials consists of three so called layers, the first of which is the hard wood floor with the wood pattern which continues throughout the bar wall and the tables. The next is the pale beige matte material which the side walls and the ceiling are composed of. The last would be highly reflective, glossy white material which draws attention.
On side walls the stripes are added, six on each side, curving in an organic and elegant way thus adding depth and fluidity in contrast to the otherwise straight and rigid space. The stripes go all the way to the bar wall, then twist forming shelves behind the bar.
Functionally, the space consists of one large table with regular (KARE 75745 Chair High Fidelity White ) on one side and bar stools (KARE 77692 Bar Stool Dimensionale White) on the other, which allows interaction with other people and barista. Also there are more private tables around the edges of the space. Bathroom and utility door is concealed in the side wall.
The lighting consists of the three pendant lamps (KARE-33680-Pendant-Lamp-Sting-Black), accent lighting under the table, on the shelves and in the celling which draws attention to the playful form of it, and few task lights in the bar.
